This May 17th, COOHAUS will feature the first US solo exhibition of the work of EunJin Kim. Kim is a figurative painter/sculptor whose distinct style towards ceramic works expnads viewer with intimately surreal and abstract looks. She chooses subjects ranging from everyday furniture like chair and table to a more recent fasciantion with the male and female body parts. The exhibition at COOHAUS will present a group of works from this latest series.
EunJin Kim was born in 1983 in Seoul. She received her BFA from Hong-Ik University and MFA from New York University. Her work has been shown through out in Seoul, Berlin and New York. She currently lives and woks in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
